Amos Toys
The creative force behind Amos combines the talents of James Jarvis, Sofia Prantera and Russell Waterman. Jarvis released his legendary Martin figure in 1998 under his fashion brand Silas, which, along with Japan’s Bounty Hunter, became one of the pioneers of the soft vinyl designer revolution. The two brands took on the world, with Silas and the newly formed World of Pain project releasing Martin’s successors, Evil Martin and Bubba, Tattoo Me Keith and The Bearded Project and the Policeman and Lars. The success of these figures convinced Jarvis and the two directors of Silas to form a new company and most definitely stopped Jarvis selling his soul to the corporate world. Amos took over production and distribution of Jarvis’ figures and sought to expand his audience while providing new opportunities to up-and-coming artists.
The In-Crowd series, King Ken and the comic adventure Vortigern’s Machine all triumphed under Jarvis and the Amos brand, and with additional success coming care of Will Sweeney’s Tales from the Green Fuzz and Helmut the Hot Dog Man, Amos just keeps on growing.
