Tamar Moshkovitz
With global success looming, the Israeli born Tamar Moshkovitz has “basically been drawing” since she was born in Haifa in 1979. Supplying the illustrational expertise to the PLUSHOOD project is just one element to a career which began with studies in visual communications at the Wizo College of Design in Haifa and continues with designer output ranging from t-shirts to toys. Freelance design, illustration and animation projects for clients from the worlds of print, TV, web and fashion currently keep Tamar busy, and thanks to her partnership with PLUSHOOD cohort Shlomi Shillinger, her work is also gaining the international recognition she deserves.
The PLUSHOODS have now appeared in a short animation teaser, screened in October 2006 at the Pictoplasma festival in Berlin, in the books “Dot Dot Dash!” and “Pictoplasma- The character encyclopaedia”, as well as the Berlin exhibition, “Pimp my doll” and Seattle’s “Plush you”.
