Shlomi Schillinger
Born in 1975, Shlomi Schillinger is the industrial designer brain behind the international success living in a neighbourhood near you, the PLUSHOODs. A 2002 graduate from the industrial design department at Holon Academic Institute of Technology and Design, Shlomi has worked as a freelance art director and set decorator for commercials, TV shows, fashion, catalogues and magazines.
As an independent product designer his creations have been sold in designer shops from Israel to New York and in partnership with designer friend Tamar Moshkovitz, the penthouse suite beckons with the high-rise of the PLUSHOOD residents.
The PLUSHOODS have now appeared in a short animation teaser, screened in October 2006 at the Pictoplasma festival in Berlin, in the books “Dot Dot Dash” and “Pictoplasma- The character encyclopaedia”, as well as the Berlin exhibition, “Pimp my doll” and Seattle’s “Plush you”.
